Joe Francis was an iconic personality in the beauty industry. He passed away in the year 1994 after getting succumbed to cancer. The scholarship is provided to cosmetology students to glorify Joe's vision offering candidates great career opportunities to work in the beauty industry. Under this funding program, nineteen scholarship awards of $1,000 each are awarded to beauty and cosmetology school students every year. NCA Sally Beauty Scholarship 2012-2013

The National Cosmetologist Association (NCA) boasts a membership of around 25,000 hair stylists, salon owners, estheticians, educators etc. Under this program, ten cosmetology scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded to students in three different categories - high school graduates, current NCA members and children or grand children of NCA members.
