American Society of Naval Engineers
The ASNE scholarships awards are available to graduate and undergraduate students planning to pursue engineering careers. The award money for graduates and undergraduates are $3,500 and $2,500 respectively. Winners are chosen on the ground of their academic excellence, extracurricular activities, working history, recommendation letter among and a keen interest in the field of naval engineering. WSCPA Scholarships for Accounting Majors
The $2,000 scholarship is another useful source of receiving financial support for accounting majors. The Washington CPA foundation awards the scholarship to 20 students every year. Applying candidates must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA in accounting courses. Winners of this college funding program are decided on the basis of on-campus and off-campus community service, work history, recommendation letter and professional excellence. Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation Scholarship
The foundation provides financial support to students of Northwest including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Applying candidates must be enrolled at an accredited osteopathic medical school in the US. The award money for this medical scholarship is $3,000. NCEA Esthetician Scholarships
This is yet another great scholarship resource for students of cosmetology. To be able to win these awards, each of which is worth $1,000, you need to have academic talent as well as the need to get financial assistance. To prove their financial eligibility, students are asked to write a 250-word essay also speaking about their aspirations to become a cosmetologist. These scholarships are awarded to students who have already enrolled in a cosmetology school and begun attending classes. Other criteria for this cosmetology student scholarship include 80% attendance and 80% grade average. Application deadlines may vary.
Oregon Barbers and Hairdressers Grant Program
Only those who are residents of Oregon will be eligible to apply for this scholarship program. Eligible applicants include those that have either enrolled or will enroll in a licensed barbering school, hair design school or cosmetology school. Students need to prove their financial need for receiving these cosmetology school scholarships.
Alliance Medical Education Scholarship Fund (AMES)
The scholarship fund was established by the Pennsylvania Medical Society Alliance which is comprised of physician spouses. The organization started the program to help medical students pursuing a degree program in a Pennsylvania medical school. The aforementioned organization functions as a part of the federation of county medical alliances. Set up in April 2000, the fund provides financial support to current year, second year and third year medical students of Pennsylvania. To be eligible to receive this scholarship, students must be pursuing a full time medical degree program from a medical school in Pennsylvania. The award money for this scholarship is $2,500.

Cosmetology Education Scholarship Programs
Students are eligible to apply for these scholarships if they get enrolled in a cosmetology school which is a member of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS). Under this scholarship program a financial award of $1,000 is given to one recipient from each member school every year. Students who apply for this scholarship award must be at least midway through their cosmetology training program. Other eligibility criteria include at least 80% attendance and 80% grade average, in addition to proving their financial need.
